A Bookaholic's Biased Opinions
My passion for books, Christian Fiction mostly, is greater only to my jewelry making. I figured that if I didnt start sharing my passion soon, even if its not shared, that at least I wouldnt be holding it all inside!

Sources for Paper
I have started to write my paper for the end of the semester. After thinking about what I really wanted to focus on in regards to reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy, I decided that I wanted to look into the psychological affect the characters left the reader. In one of my sources that I found, it talked about how a lot of the fathers that had decided to read McCarthy's novel, decided to take more time with their kids. It also stated that these fathers wrote to McCarthy telling him about how the book changed their view on how they should be parents and how it changed the time they spent with their children. One of the most striking letters that I read in this article, was that one father had read the book in one sitting, and then immediately afterwards went up to his children's room where they were sleeping and just held them in his arms. I felt like this kind of affect was impressive and it really made me want to dive more into how this book affected people, but mainly fathers and their relationships with their children. My other source, which I may or may not end up using, stated that this book was also loosely based off of the book of Genesis from The Bible. While I can see where the connection may come from, and it was incredibly interesting to read, I am still unsure if I want to include this into my final paper. As of right now, I'm keeping this piece to reference certain aspects of the novel that I am going to use for my paper.

760...What a Number
I read so much, now that I have a kindle fire and can take my library with me, than in two years I have acquired more than 760 novels. These novels are mostly Christian Fiction and Teen Fiction with a few action adventure novels and syfy's thrown in for good measure. My family jokes around that I don't need to go to the library anymore, the library can come to me!
